Clock - Plastic, Steel - 1970-1980

Lotto title: Vintage mechanical desk alarm clock "Diamond" with flip date calendar – Shanghai, China – 70s/80s – Fully functional Description: Splendid and fascinating vintage mechanical desk alarm clock with flip date calendar, produced in Shanghai (China) by the renowned Diamond manufacture (recognizable by the diamond logo on the dial) between the late 70s and early 80s. The item stands out for its Space Age and modernist style, characterized by a solid rectangular structure complemented by a thick chrome mirrored metal frame. The dial, with a geometric and minimalist style, features on the left side stylized hour indicators and on the right a chrome window with the mechanical two-color date cards for the days. At the bottom there are the original bilingual inscriptions "中国 上海 SHANGHAI, CHINA". Conditions and Functioning: The clock presents in excellent vintage aesthetic condition, complete in all its original parts (including knobs and rear winding keys). The item has been tested and is perfectly functional: • The clock mechanism runs smoothly. • The date calendar with cards rotates and snaps correctly. • The alarm bell rings and activates correctly at the set time. Note for the buyer: As this is an old antique clock with a fully mechanical manual-wind movement, its daily time precision may not be comparable to that of a modern quartz or digital clock, a factor that is part of the charm and very nature of this vintage object. An ideal collectible piece for lovers of mid-century modern and retro-industrial design, ready to be displayed or used daily. Shockproof packaging Express courier and tracking
