Citizen - Citizen Promaster Pilot SuperTitanio - No...

Splendid and exceptionally rare specimen of a Citizen Promaster Pilot Radio-Controlled in SuperTitanium (Base Ref. AS2031-57E, Caliber H461), customized to an internal official exclusive order for the pilots and aircrew of the 21st Tiger Squadron (21º Gruppo Volo) of the Italian Air Force, based in Grazzanise. Unlike common commercial variants, this model features on the dial the official crest of the famous Italian squadron of the “Tigers.” This private batch was commissioned through extremely limited internal channels, estimated at only about 100 pieces overall, making it a piece of maximum international collectible rarity, particularly coveted by collectors associated with NATO Tiger Meet world rallies. The historical and emotional value of the piece is further enhanced by the fine engraving of the original pilot’s initials (“MC”) on the side of the case. Aesthetic and functional conditions: The watch is in an incredible state of preservation: the titanium case, the bracelet, and the precious sapphire crystal are completely perfect and free of scratches. The solar-powered Eco-Drive movement and the radio-controlled timekeeping are perfectly functioning. Collector’s note and authenticity: As is common with this extremely rare vintage issuance, the light laser inscription on the caseback has naturally faded over time due to sweat and operational wear during flights, a detail that attests to its historical genuineness and actual use in activity. The lot is complete (Full Set) including the original Citizen box, outer box and the official instruction booklet/manual of the era. An unmissable opportunity for collectors of aerospace militaria and haute horology.
