This is a limited-edition letter opener from the legendary French house Christofle, designed by the renowned sculptor-artist Jean Filhos. • Object Type: Letter opener / luxury desk knife (Coupe-papier). • Designer: Designed by the famous French sculptor and jeweler Jean Filhos for the brand. • The Sculptural Handle: The grip is a micro-abstract sculpture in an organic, surreal style that depicts a tangle of intertwined human figures, very representative of Filhos's work in the 1970s. Engraved InscriptIon at the Tip: On the blade you can read the original period handwritten inscription: "Bon Noël 1974" accompanied by an engraved signature (Bouilhet, which corresponds to the historical owners of the Christofle brand).
