CHINA. Shansi. 1 Mace 4.4 Candareens (20 Cents), ND (1911). Shansi

Exceptional Stylized 20 Cents Denomination from the Shansi Arsenal CHINA. Shansi. 1 Mace 4.4 Candareens (20 Cents), ND (1911). Shansi Arsenal Mint. Hsuan-t'ung (Xuantong [Puyi]). PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details. L&M-501; K-238; KM-Y-217; WS-1100. Large Dragon variety. Seemingly a bit conservatively assessed, this charming minor emanates from a VERY RARE and seldom encountered emission at Shansi, with the types of the Manchurian Provinces serving as the prototype design. One can see this inspired misspelling on the dragon side, with the English legend reading "NIACEURAN RROVINCES" in spectacular error. Also, numerous concentric circles from the guidelines are still highly visible on account of its advanced state of preservation. Exceptionally glistening, with hardly any evidence of wear and the noted cleaning. Estimate: $7,500 - $12,500. Provenance: From the MC Collection (陳氏家族集藏).
