Extremely rare uniface pair of Kiangsu Bank 1 Dollar colour trials (PMG calls them proofs) with slight colour differences compared to the issued notes, with an exquisite design. We sold a different colour trial pair in April 2024 for $8400, including the Buyer's Premium and are thrilled to be able to offer another colour. Both notes have specimen perforation. PMG Comments "Previously Mounted" on the front proof. The Kiangsu Bank was formed from the Kiangnan Yu Ning Bank and the Yue Soo Imperial Bank and opened its doors on 1st February 1912. Bradbury and Wilkinson (BWC) was commissioned to design and print banknotes in denominations of 1, 5 and 10 Dollars for the newly established bank. The Bank had only issued 200,000 Dollars of banknotes from its Tungchow (Nantong) branch before the Central Government issued an order to forbid banks other than the Bank of China and Bank of Communications to issue banknotes. The issued notes were almost completely recalled and cancelled, with only an estimated 500 Dollars outstanding. Banknotes, both specimens, colour trials or issued notes, are therefore exceedingly rare, and here is a wonderful opportunity to fill the gap in your collection! Estimate: $2,000 - $3,000. 極罕見江蘇銀行壹圓及伍圓試色樣票 民國二年江蘇銀行兌換券壹圓。單面正反面試色樣票。一對。 由BWC承印。極其罕見的江蘇銀行壹圓單面試色樣票一對（PMG標註為試印樣票），設計精美，與流通票存在微妙色差。我們曾於2024年4月以8,400美元（含買家佣金）拍出一對不同色調的試色樣票，現欣然呈獻另一種配色版別。兩枚均帶樣票打孔。PMG於正面試印樣票備註"曾黏貼"。江蘇銀行由江南裕寧官銀錢局與裕蘇官銀錢局合併而成，於1912年2月1日正式開業。該行委託BWC為新銀行設計並印製壹圓、伍圓與拾圓面額的鈔票。然而，該行通州（南通）分行僅發行了20萬圓鈔票，中央政府便下令除中國銀行與交通銀行外，其他銀行不得發行紙幣。流通票幾乎全數回收註銷，估計僅有約500圓流落在外。因此無論是樣票、試色樣票還是流通票皆極其罕見，此組珍品實為完善藏集的難逢契機！
