China Peking Aubusson - Carpet - 200 cm - 140 cm

We present a precious Chinese rug from Beijing, inspired by Aubusson, made between the 1970s and 1980s. Its elegant composition combines a powder-pink background with a wide border in cream tones, decorated with roses, leaves and ornamental motifs. In the center stands a refined floral medallion that brings balance and character to the whole. It is woven in wool over cotton using the manual tufting technique. The pile is fixed to the back with a special compound and is protected by a textile lining, which perfectly preserves its function and stability. The rug is in exceptional condition, practically like new and with minimal use, as it has only been placed on the floor on two occasions.
