China Peking Aubusson - Carpet - 200 cm - 140 cm

We present a precious Beijing rug, inspired by Aubusson, made between 1970 and 1980. Its elegant composition combines a powder pink background with a wide border in cream tones, decorated with roses, leaves and ornamental motifs. In the center stands a refined floral medallion that adds balance and character to the whole. It is woven in wool on cotton using manual tufting techniques. The pile is fixed to the back with a special compound and protected by a fabric lining, which keeps its function and stability perfectly intact. The rug is in exceptional condition, essentially like new and with minimal use, since it has only been placed on the floor on two occasions.
