China, Qing-Dynastie, spätes 19. / frühes 20. Jh. oder Republik-Zeit. Porzellan mit Dekoration in Emailfarben der Famille Rose (Wucai-Palette) und eisenroten sowie schwarz-braunen Aufglasuraufschriften. Balusterförmiger Korpus mit geschwungenem Hals und weit ausladender Lippe. Die Schauseite zeigt eine fein ausgemalte Szenerie mit Glücks- und Langlebigkeitssymbolen: Zwei gefleckte Hirsche (lu) unter einer kräftigen, altertümlichen Kiefer (song), auf deren Stamm ein Mandschurenkranich (xianhe) ruht, umgeben von Lingzhi-Pilzen und blühenden Päonien. Die Rückseite sowie der Hals tragen mehrzeilige Kalligraphien in Weichsel- und Eisenrot-Tönen mit poetischen Versen und Vier-Zeichen-Devisen. Der unglasierte Standring weist Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren auf. Höhe: ca. 44 cm. Berieben, altersbedingte Gebrauchsspuren, kleine Brennfehler/Glasurfehler, sonst guter Gesamtzustand. | CHINA – Large Baluster Vase with Symbols of Longevity and Poetic Inscriptions China, Qing Dynasty, late 19th / early 20th century, or Republic period. Porcelain decorated in Famille Rose enamels (Wucai palette), with iron-red and black-brown overglaze calligraphic inscriptions. The vase has a baluster-shaped body with a gracefully curved neck and a wide, flaring rim. The principal side is finely painted with an auspicious scene symbolizing good fortune and longevity: two spotted deer (lu) beneath an ancient pine tree (song), on whose trunk a Manchurian crane (xianhe) is perched, surrounded by lingzhi fungus and blooming peonies. Together, these motifs form a traditional visual rebus conveying wishes for longevity, prosperity and high rank. The reverse and the neck are decorated with several lines of poetic calligraphy executed in iron-red and mulberry-red overglaze enamels, accompanied by four-character auspicious inscriptions.The unglazed foot ring displays expected age and wear.
