Phenomenally rare uniface reverse specimen for the third series of the Shanghai issue. A quick look at the PMG census shows one fully printed specimen, one uniface reverse specimen (this one) and one uniface obverse colour trial. A total of four issued notes have also been graded. This emphasises the rarity of this note across all the different types and presents an incredible opportunity for the high-end collector to acquire this design. PMG Comments: "Tears." The third series was commissioned after the Russo-Chinese Bank merged with France's Banque du Nord in 1910 and was renamed Russo-Asiatic Bank. The design of the notes remained unchanged from the second series, except for the Bank name and the denomination, which was renamed as Local Currency Dollars.
