Enticing "CIIINA" Dollar of Li Yuan Hung CHINA. Dollar, ND (1912). Wuchang Mint. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details. L&M-44A; K-638c; KM-Y-320.2; WS-0089C. Li Yuan Hung with hat type; "CIIINA" (missing crossbar) variety. Already RARER than the corresponding crowns featuring Li Yuan Hung without his military cap, this specimen is made that much more desirable on account of the engraver's mistake upon the reverse: the "H" in "CHINA" lacks a crossbar, giving the erroneous reading instead as "CIIINA". Some very subtle cleaning is noted, but quite easily overlooked owing to the minimal degree of gentle circulation and remaining brilliance among the reverse fields. Estimate: $15,000 - $25,000. Provenance: From the Liu Mung Wang (汪柳門) Collection. To view all items from the Liu Mung Wang (汪柳門) Collection, click here. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
