Larger photograph measures approximately 8" x 10" and depicts the couple together, inscribed at lower left, "A Toujours! / To John & Anita / Charlotte," and additionally signed "Charlotte Fairchild" along the lower right edge. Verso identifies the subjects in pencil as "Anita Loos and her husband John Emerson" and retains a handwritten note stating "Photo Free but must be returned to Miss Anita Loos, 23 Gramercy Park, South, New York,." Accompanied by a second photograph of Loos and Emerson approx. 6-1/2" x 8-1/2", with International News Photos, Inc. stamp on verso. Signature has been authenticated by JSA (CL31210). Photographs show age-related handling and surface wear, edge and corner wear, tears, creases and other wear. The larger photograph has remnants and paper loss on the verso from a previous mounting.
