Charles Vyse Chelsea Pottery Figurine, Market-Day Boulogne - Rabbit and Ducks

Depicting a country woman in traditional attire including a patterned headscarf, purple shawl, and blue and white checked apron. The woman holds a white duck, with a basket of three ducklings and two rabbits resting by a stone wall at her feet. The piece features hand-painted polychrome decoration over a crackle-glazed earthenware body, set upon a textured cobblestone base. The side of the ceramic base bears the incised name and date C.
