Centrepiece - Silverplated - Olympic Games

Commemorative centerpiece of the Olympic Games from the first half of the 20th century, made in silvered brass and conceived as a decorative piece of great elegance and symbolism. Its design combines the nobility of classical forms with the iconographic force of the Olympic movement, giving rise to an object that transcends its utilitarian function to become a true collector's item. The structure consists of a wide oval bowl with a shallow profile, supported by a refined perforated base in which five interlaced rings stand out, clear allusion to the universal emblem of the Olympic Games. This central motif integrates harmoniously into the stand, providing visual balance and a marked institutional and commemorative character. The sides rise in the form of delicate stylized laurel garlands, artisanally crafted with notable detail. These branches evoke the victor crowns of classical tradition, symbol of excellence, triumph and personal achievement, values closely tied to the Olympic spirit. The oval base, decorated with vegetal reliefs, reinforces the neoclassical language of the piece and imparts an elegant sense of lightness. The silver finish, softly patinated with age, enhances the volumes and ornamental details, giving depth and historical authenticity to the whole. The quality of execution and the uniqueness of its iconography make this centerpiece an interesting testament to the commemorative aesthetics of the first half of the 20th century. Because of its relation to the Olympic universe, its attractive sculptural composition and its decorative value, this piece constitutes an excellent addition for collectors of sports memorabilia, historical objects of institutional character or 20th-century decorative arts, equally spectacular as a centerpiece or as a distinguished display element. Tracked shipping and careful packaging.
