Celtic Bronze Necklace featuring a Celtiberian as from Sekaisa (Segeda) - 50 cm

ecklace with Celtiberian as from Sekaisa (Segeda) — 2nd–1st centuries BCE. Attractive 50 cm long necklace that incorporates an ancient bronze coin attributed to the historic Celtiberian mint of Sekaisa (Segeda, Zaragoza), dated approximately between 130 and 72 BCE. The obverse presents a male head facing right, with the characteristic iconographic motifs of Celtiberian coinage. The reverse preserves the equestrian representation typical of these emissions, with a horseman. These coins circulated during a decisive period in Hispania’s history, marked by the clashes between Celtiberian populations and the expansion of Roman power. The piece retains an attractive old patina in green and copper tones, with a relief of notable historical character. It is mounted as a pendant via a metal ring on a stylish black cord, blending contemporary aesthetics with the legacy of pre-Roman Hispania. Features: * Coin: Celtiberian as, attributed to Sekaisa. * Chronology: 130–72 BCE. * Material: bronze. * Coin dimensions: 26 × 3 mm. * Necklace length: 50 cm. * Mounting: metal ring and black cord. A unique historical jewel that incorporates a coin of more than 2,000 years, representative of Celtiberian monetary culture prior to the consolidation of Roman rule in Hispania.
