Splendid and imposing oval cameo in Cassis Madagascariensis shell, entirely hand-engraved and presented inside a refined octagonal gold frame in antique/baroque style, with interior lined in elegant green velvet. The iconography of the cameo can be interpreted as an allegory of Pure Love and Peace. The dove, always an emblem of fidelity, innocence and harmony, joined with floral abundance, recalls the renewal of nature and spiritual beauty. The roses, traditionally associated with love and grace, give the scene a poetic and timeless character. The work was created and signed by G. Aversano, Master Engraver of Torre del Greco, the artistic capital of shell engraving.
