Cartier Tank Vermeil – Must de Cartier – Silver-Gilt – Swiss Quartz An elegant example of one of Cartier’s most recognisable creations: the Must de Cartier Tank Vermeil. Its beautifully proportioned rectangular case, warm gold finish and classical cream dial create the unmistakable refined appearance that has made the Tank a timeless design icon. The dial features bold black Roman numerals, an inner railway minute track and elegant blued sword-shaped hands. A cabochon-style crown completes the characteristic Cartier aesthetic. The gold-plated silver case shows light surface marks and gentle wear consistent with age, particularly along the case sides and edges. The cream dial remains elegant and clearly legible, while the new blue leather strap complements the blued hands beautifully. Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form an essential part of the description. Water resistance has not been tested; therefore, contact with water should be avoided. Story & Heritage Created in 1917 and inspired by the clean geometry of military tanks viewed from above, the Cartier Tank became one of the defining watch designs of the twentieth century. Its balanced rectangular form has been worn by artists, royalty and influential figures, transcending fashion and gender for more than a century. The Must de Cartier collection brought this celebrated design to a new generation. Crafted from sterling silver and finished with a rich layer of gold, the Vermeil models retained the unmistakable elegance of Cartier while developing a distinctive vintage character of their own. With its classical Roman-numeral dial, blued hands, sapphire-coloured crown detail and original Cartier deployant clasp, this refined Tank Vermeil is a graceful expression of Parisian style and Swiss watchmaking.
