Tutte le aste / Lampade / Cartier - Cougar - Fountain pen
The Cartier Cougar Must de Cartier fountain pen presented in this lot is in excellent overall condition, displaying a very well cared-for appearance fully in line with a piece of its category and era. The body and cap in black resin with a guilloché pattern are preserved with very good shine and definition in the vertical grooves, with no material loss or deformations. The surface shows only extremely light signs of superficial use, virtually imperceptible to the naked eye and typical of careful handling over time. The overall aesthetic remains elegant and highly attractive. The gold-plated elements — clip, rings, and endings — have a bright and even finish, with excellent visual presence. No significant wear is observed on the plating, and the pieces maintain their structural and aesthetic integrity. The 18-carat solid gold nib (750), engraved with the Cartier emblem, is in very good condition, properly aligned and maintaining a clean tipping. The feed keeps its fins in perfect structural condition, ensuring proper ink flow regulation. The writing system has been inspected and tested for correct operation, delivering a fully functional piece ready to write, as is customary for items prepared by Collecting Legacy. Also included is its original red Cartier case, which presents a good overall condition with slight normal signs of storage. Overall, this is a fountain pen that is very well preserved, elegant and perfectly functional, ideal for daily use as well as for collection. Care recommendations To preserve the pen in optimal condition, use high-quality inks specifically for fountain pens, avoiding pigmented inks or those with particles. If the pen will not be used for an extended period, it is advisable to clean it with warm water, dry it properly before storing, and keep it in a dry place, away from direct light and extreme temperatures. It is also recommended to operate the filling system gently to maintain the mechanism in perfect condition over time. It will be shipped in a courtesy box for proper preservation. Happy bidding!
