The artist’s current pictorial production, “Del Río o del Mar,” consists of a series of surreal coastal landscapes. And this “Of the Beach and the Estuary,” dreamlike, surreal, or fantastical, proposes to integrate the naturalist tradition with contemporary resources, taking as reference the technical precision of contemporary academia, reinterpreted from a more modern plastic approach. The work focuses on creating atmospheres that highlight the light, color, and movement of the tropical landscape with the vegetation typical of northern coastlines. Through glazes, overlapping layers, and a controlled handling of material, the artist manages to balance structural rigor and expressive sensitivity. His working method is based on detailed studies of the natural environment, which allows him to capture with precision the essence of each represented element. Through a subtle handling of light and shadow, he achieves depth, volume, and an enveloping atmosphere in his landscapes, endowing each scene with life and emotion.
