Carlo Borri (1952) - La terrazza di Irolli

Carlo Borri, 1952, self-taught Neapolitan artist, son of the noble Neapolitan school and of the masters of the 1800s. The work is the artist's tribute to one of the most illustrious masters of the Neapolitan school, Vincenzo Irolli. The artist uses a lively palette with pure colors applied in energetic strokes to define forms without sharp outlines, as is particularly noticeable in the flowers and the clothing. The use of light is impressionistic, capturing reflections on the floor and in the atmosphere with quick touches of color, lending immediacy and dynamism to the scene.
