His work is characterized by an approach that oscillates between abstraction and figuration, exploring the representation of the human body through stylized, sinuous forms that suggest movement and presence without the need for explicit details. Arqués developed his practice mainly in painting, drawing, and collage, using materials and techniques that give his creations a distinctive texture and depth. His work stands out for the interaction between color, form, and movement, elements that shape a unique and free visual expression. After completing his studies in Fine Arts, where he was recognized with an important award, Carles Arqués began a promising career that was acknowledged with exhibitions in prestigious galleries. His family has worked to preserve and disseminate his legacy, organizing exhibitions and publishing materials that allow the public to rediscover his work and better understand his artistic contribution during the period from 1974 to 1992.
