Capodimonte - Figurine - Dei dell'olimpo (5) - Porcelain

Elegant set of five porcelain figurines in white glazed porcelain, depicting some of the principal deities of classical mythology, crafted in the refined Neoclassical taste and inspired by the great tradition of European statuary of the 18th and 19th centuries. The sculptures depict Venus (Aphrodite), Ceres (Demeter), Diana the hunter (Artemis), Zeus (Jupiter) and Mercury (Hermes), emblematic figures of Greco-Roman mythology, each characterized by elegant poses and distinctive iconographic attributes. Particularly appreciable are the delicacy of the features, the plasticity of the figures, the movement of the drapery, and the luminosity of the white glazed porcelain, which enhances every detail of the modeling. The figurines rest on refined, shaped and pierced bases, embellished with decorative motifs that confer lightness and harmony to the compositions. On the bottom of each sculpture you can find the mark of the crowned N in blue, historically used by several European manufactories, including Ginori a Doccia. Attribution to a specific manufactory remains open. Indicative dimensions of each statuette: height 15 cm, width 8 cm, base 5.5 cm. Conditions: the figurines show minor chips and some glueing, barely perceptible to normal observation, which do not compromise the aesthetic harmony or the display quality of the set. Interior design tips: ideal for embellishing consoles, bookshelves, antique shop windows, or refined cabinets of curiosities. The purity of white and the elegance of the forms make them particularly decorative even in contemporary environments, creating a refined contrast between classical suggestive vibes and modern design. The photographs are an integral part of the description and document the characteristics and the conservation status of the objects.
