Rare butterfly brooch «Papillon» Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy — Camrose & Kross. Camrose & Kross is a jewelry house authorized to reproduce certain iconic jewelry and ornaments that belonged to Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy, First Lady of the United States and one of the most famous figures in American history and 20th-century fashion. Camrose & Kross LLC owns two jewelry brands: CAMROSE & KROSS and JBK (Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy). For more than two decades, this private house has been creating jewelry, watches and silverware, including pieces inspired by Jacqueline Kennedy’s personal collection. The JBK reproductions have been made with great fidelity to the original designs, in terms of proportions, weight, appearance and distinctive details. For their fabrication, various materials were used, including art glass, crystals, rhinestones as well as gold- or silver-plated metal alloys. Some pieces even reproduce the particularities found on the original models, such as patina or certain characteristic marks. The marking «China» on the back of some pieces is perfectly normal: from the 1990s, part of the production was carried out in China, while maintaining the manufacturing standards of the JBK collection. On the back of this brooch is also the GBG hallmark. These jewelry pieces are no longer produced today and the original molds have been destroyed, which makes Jacqueline Kennedy collection pieces particularly rare and sought after by collectors. It can thus be worn as both a brooch and a pendant, offering great versatility and two elegant ways to wear it.
