Cacciapuoti - Guido Cacciapuoti (1892-1953) - Sculpture

Sculpture depicting an eagle with wings spread and its head turned downward, perched on a rock formation. Made of terracotta with a coppery and silver finish obtained by galvanization, it features a molded surface with particular attention to the rendering of the plumage and the roughness of the rock. The sculpture rests on an original ebony-stained wooden base. The model, identified by the number 619, is documented in the period catalog of the Milanese workshop Grès d’Arte Cacciapuoti, which is responsible for its creation in the 1930s of the twentieth century. In generally good preservation, with signs of wear to the finish compatible with the period and a partial fracture but no detachment, at the tip of the right wing.
