Elegant vintage crystal decanter with a silver/argent-plated mount, Distillerie Buton – Bologna, founded in 1820, with G. Galletti silverwork – Milan. Splendid and refined collectible object, characterized by a body in transparent crystal heavily worked and cut, with an elegant and slender form. The crystal presents a rich geometric decoration and oval motifs, creating evocative light plays and giving the object a particularly precious appearance. The upper part is completed by an important silver-plated metal mount, finely decorated, with floral motifs and engraved scrolls. Particularly striking is the large dragon-shaped handle, finely modeled and decorated in relief, an element that gives the decanter a very distinctive character. The spout is wide and shaped, accompanied by a stopper with a chain, while the base features an elegant circular pedestal with coordinated ornamental decorations. On the bottom are the important inscriptions and marks visible in the photographs, including: “DISTILLERIE BUTON – BOLOGNA – ITALIA – CASA FONDATA NEL 1820” and “ARGENTERIE G. GALLETTI – MILANO” The presence of these marks makes the object particularly interesting from a historical and collecting perspective, linking it to the Italian tradition of liquor production and decorative silverware. Era: XX secolo, with historicist and decorative character. Stile: elegant revival, eclectic taste, with ornamental elements inspired by neo-Renaissance/mythological. Condizioni Buone condizioni vintage rapportate all’età. Il cristallo presenta alcune normali tracce del tempo e piccole imperfezioni proprie di un oggetto d’epoca. La montatura metallica presenta ossidazioni, patina e segni del tempo, soprattutto nella parte inferiore, come chiaramente visibile nelle fotografie. Sono presenti normali segni d’uso e di conservazione. Si consiglia di considerare attentamente tutte le fotografie, che costituiscono parte integrante della descrizione.
