Burmese carved wood figurine depicting a celestial deity or Nat in a dynamic kneeling pose. The sculpture is finished in red lacquer with traditional gilt surfaces and features intricate relief carving throughout the princely attire. The garment and tiered headdress are embellished with inset colored glass cabochons in shades of green and blue using the homan decorative technique. Flaring wing-like elements at the shoulders and waist further define the iconography of the piece. The reverse displays a heavily weathered red lacquer finish.
