Interesting collection of three polished pieces of natural Burmese amber, each presenting a different colour, shape and internal composition. The specimens contain numerous natural inclusions, including small insects or arthropods, plant fragments, organic debris and a particularly long segmented inclusion visible in the central piece. Together, these details offer a fascinating glimpse into the biodiversity of an ancient tropical forest. Burmese amber originates from the Hukawng Valley in northern Myanmar and dates to the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 99 million years ago. The pieces measure approximately have been polished to allow the inclusions and internal structures to be observed clearly. An appealing and varied lot for collectors of amber, fossils and natural-history specimens. The three specimens are sold together and exactly as shown in the photographs.
