What does a skeleton dial mean? Skeleton means that the dial has been opened — partly or almost entirely — to reveal the movement underneath. It is not a printed graphical effect: what moves under the hands is the watch’s regulating organ, the balance wheel, which oscillates back and forth without stopping while the power reserve lasts.
