Brad Howe (1959) - Sculpture

Brad Howe (1959) American Cog 2010 Mobile sculpture in stainless steel, aluminum and polyurethane 37x11x7 inches (93.98x27.94x17.78 cm) Bought from the artist at the Sculpture exhibition, Galerie Janos, Paris, France in 2012 No receipt Very good condition Brad Howe seeks to place himself within the tradition of geometric abstraction and to perpetuate it as a living and relevant discourse. His playful mobiles, wall works, furniture and freestanding sculptures combine the dynamic relationships between planes and fields of color characteristic of post-Cubist modernism. However, their playful exuberance owes more to the artistic effervescence of Los Angeles and São Paulo in the 21st century, cities where Howe began his career.
