The work translates a daily reality into a visual language of repetition and rhythm. Central is the tension between control and temptation, two forces that continually vie for priority. Each work consists of a box filled with insulin syringes, hand-arranged into a pattern on a wooden substrate. The act of placing them requires patience and precision; the resulting repetition evokes the routines by which a life is structured, whether or not diabetes is involved. A plexiglass cover seals the work, temptation that remains visible, but just out of reach. Shipping The artwork is shipped in the original box. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
