Visible part: approx 12 x 17 cm Panel: approx 12.5 x 17.5 cm Frame: approx 15.5 x 20.5 x 2 cm Special for Animal Day, a small, charming cat portrait in the spirit of Sal Meijer and Henriëtte Ronner-Knip. Painted with a lively brushstroke by the Dutch-Danish artist Borgen Lindhardt. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Maastricht (1996). She uses Borgen Lindhardt as her signature name and is known for her “kimono series,” inspired by the work of G.H. Breitner. She creates oil paintings in which old masters, combined with personal elements (cat, painting supplies and fantasy figures), form a new spectacle. Her style is characterized by visible brushstrokes, ranging from labor-intensive, playful works to loose, sketchy paintings. Comes directly from the artist. Is framed in a neat gold-colored frame. Will be provided with a hanging eyelet. Carefully packed and shipped with tracking. The painting is protected by a layer of retouch varnish. Please, after drying time (about a year), apply final varnish yourself to preserve gloss and color.
