Boredom: The Dismal Anti-Game for 1 to 3 Players - By...

[RARE / NEAR MINT IN SHRINK] : BOREDOM Board Game (1994) – Daniel CLOWES – Scairy Hairy Toys. Condition: very beautiful, almost new. > Presence of very light gray stains on the support cardboard. Format: 28 x 28 cm. Exceptional collectible piece for fans of underground comics and alternative art. This is the ultra-rare anti-game board game "Boredom: The Dismal Anti-Game for 1 to 3 Players", designed in 1994 by the legendary American author Daniel Clowes (creator of Ghost World and Eightball). Published in San Francisco by the artisanal outfit Scairy Hairy Toys as part of the famous very limited Wild Wigout Comix Gameboards series, this game benefited from an ultra-confidential print run estimated at only about 100 copies. This copy remained intact, exactly as it left the printing workshop in 1994. It presents itself in its purest original distribution form: • The main game board on cardboard, beautifully hand-screen-printed in yellow and black, remained sealed under its original protective plastic film and fixed to its cardboard backing. • The 3 original characters/game pieces are also sealed beside the board under the same vintage transparent film. • The original plastic bag containing the spinner (the arrow) is still stapled in place on the cardboard backing, proudly bearing the factory’s ironic label "Have Fun". • The original sheet (Notice & Biography) is perfectly preserved and fully glued to the back of the large support board. It contains the Wild Wigout Comix Gameboards collection manifesto, the satirical rules written by Clowes, and his black-and-white biographical section.
