Bookcase - Auxiliary shelf with spiral steps - Wood, Leather, Brass

For sale, magnificent spiral staircase / library ladder (quarter-turn) with 4 steps. Features : • Style: English / Victorian, very elegant. • Materials: Solid wood frame stained (central mast sculpted in a bamboo-like style), upper knob in gilded brass. • Finishes: Steps dressed with brown leather (or faux) inserts with superb original gilding on the small fittings along the edges. Overall condition : Very good aesthetic condition, solid, robust and very stable structure. Note for transparency: the leather insert of one of the steps slightly peels along one edge (very easy to refix with a dab of suitable glue, does not affect the solidity nor the overall appearance). Ideal as a vintage decorative object in a living room, to elevate plants, or for its original use in a library. Step height: 52 cm Total height: 113 cm Width: 45 cm
