Board game - Jeu de l'Oie/ganzenbord-dambord-1920 - Wood

Offered: A beautiful, multifunctional antique wooden play box with a double-sided game board, issued around 1920. On the front is the classic French goose game, beautifully printed on the wood and featuring the original central text "Règle du Véritable Jeu de l'Oie". The back is equipped with a checkerboard. The play box features the clever, original wooden slide system on the sides in which the game pieces and counters can be safely stored. Condition of the object: • Checkers/draughts board (Back): In excellent, pristine and clean condition. Very rare for a used item of over 100 years old, as this side normally shows a lot of sliding wear. • Goose game (Front): The original litho/wood print is still very readable with beautiful, authentic colors. Exhibits slight, characteristic signs of aging that contribute to the antique look. • Woodwork: The slide construction is completely intact and functions properly. A splendid and decorative collectible for lovers of antique toys and vintage board games. Take a good look at the photos that are part of the description Shipped insured.
