The inline-six engine is one of the distinctive features of the range, capable of delivering smooth operation, good performance, and the typical driving pleasure of the Bavarian house. The unit up for auction, registered in 1998, is equipped with the sought-after manual transmission and stands out for its high degree of originality and for the original mileage of the car, as well as for the presence of complete manuals. EXTERIOR The bodywork remains in its factory-paint nearly entirely, in Black Metallic, as reported by the identification plate. General conditions are good, with normal signs compatible with the car’s age and regular use. Recently a professional polishing and detailing treatment was carried out, further enhancing the aesthetic presentation. No corrosion is present and it is a completely original example without modifications made over the years. Verification with a coating thickness gauge did not reveal any signs of accidents or structural repairs, while the Carfax report is clean and confirms the consistency of the indicated mileage and the absence of accidents. The underbody presents solid original conditions, well preserved, free of welds and without evidence of accidents, confirming the good structural integrity of the example. INTERIOR The interiors are in beautiful preserved condition. In ice color, the seats are full leather, finished in the classic color typical of the version, well maintained with normal minimal signs of wear and age. Also the central console, the original steering wheel, the door panels and the rest of the cabin are in very well-kept condition and coherent with the car’s mileage. The dashboard is in excellent condition. Recently a professional cabin and upholstery sanitization treatment has been performed. MECHANICS The car retains its original six-cylinder inline engine, as stated in the registration document. The engine has always been maintained in efficiency as demonstrated by technical inspections completed in 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2026 with no defects found. The gearbox, clutch and braking system operate correctly and allow normal driving of the car. The latest technical inspection, passed in September 2026 and valid until September 2028, showed no defects or anomalies and no warning lights on. The car is roadworthy; as with any classic car, it is advisable to perform a general check before long trips.
