Black Sabbath - Master of Reality (US) – Original 1971 WB...

Original 1971 US pressing of Black Sabbath's monumental third album Master of Reality, released on Warner Bros. Records under catalogue number BS 2562. This early edition is housed in the highly desirable original embossed sleeve, with the album title raised directly into the front cover—a distinctive construction that later pressings abandoned in favour of flat printing. The embossed sleeve remains a particularly attractive feature to collectors, as it represents the authentic early presentation of the album. An equally important detail is the Artisan Sound Recorders logo present in the runout groove. This distinctive mark identifies the lacquer and mastering work as having been carried out at Artisan Sound Recorders, a mastering facility responsible for numerous major US rock releases throughout the period. Master of Reality stands as one of the cornerstone albums of Black Sabbath's original Ozzy Osbourne era, containing classics including Sweet Leaf, After Forever, Children of the Grave, Lord of This World, Solitude and Into the Void. ⸻ Sleeve (VG): The original embossed sleeve remains clean and presentable overall. There is some creasing and folding visible around the upper-left corner, but the remainder of the cover has survived nicely. The artwork remains clean and well preserved, while the spine is fully readable. The important embossed front-cover lettering remains clearly defined. Please note that the original poster is not included. Vinyl (VG+): The vinyl retains a very nice original shine and presents well overall. There are some normal signs of previous play, with one longer visible superficial mark on Side 2. This mark is surface-level rather than deep, and overall the record remains a solid and attractive VG+ example, playing through cleanly. ⸻ Details * Original 1971 US pressing * Warner Bros.
