Big drum - drum - Dyangro - Shamanism - Nepal (No reserve price)

This old drum, traditionally crafted from wood, twigs and leather (goat skin), produces a deep, earthy sound and is used in both Buddhism and Shamanism. The handle is shaped like a Phurba (also known as kila), a ritual dagger used to neutralize demonic powers according to Buddhist teachings, by nailing them to the ground. The Dyangro is also used to ward off negativity. The drum has a diameter of 37 cm and a depth of 11.5 cm. The total length, including the handle, is 68 cm. Includes a traditional drumstick (Gajo).
