Bernard Moore Flambe Figure, Gazeka

A rare flambe ceramic figure by Bernard Moore, depicting the legendary Gazeka, also known as the Papuan Devil Pig. Sighted by British explorers in early 20th-century Papua New Guinea, this mythical creature was said to resemble a giant tapir or pig. Moore's figure captures its fantastical nature with exaggerated features and a whimsical stance. A master of high temperature flambe glazes, Moore created experimental ceramics celebrated for their deep red and iridescent finishes. Here, rich crimson and dark oxblood accentuate every expressive detail. Artist marked. Dimensions: 3.75"L x 3.25"W x 5.5"H Condition Request Condition Report Good
