Bentley - R-Type - 1954

GENERAL: This 1954 Bentley R-Type clocks in at approximately 33,000 miles on the odometer. The Bentley R-Type is a post-war iconic model, originally introduced in 1952 as the successor to the Mark VI and known for being one of the fastest and most comfortable luxury cars of its era. Equipped with the distinctive inline six-cylinder engine and legendary smoothness, this vehicle has been actively used over the last 15 years for events and weddings. Given its use on such special occasions, it has received careful maintenance to ensure maximum reliability, highlighting a recent complete automatic transmission repair carried out by a specialist, with a bill totaling €7,000. BODYWORK AND PAINT: The body is in generally good condition and shows no signs of having been in an accident. It sports a very harmonious two-tone combination in dark grey, with a high-gloss finish on the lower portions and a muted paint on the upper part. The roof shows a slight fading of color due to the passage of time and regular use. MECHANICS: The engine starts perfectly both cold and hot, offering excellent on-road performance and notable reliability. The automatic transmission operates smoothly after the recent documented intervention. There is no rust underneath; everything is in good condition and shows only the minor oil or fluid seepage typical of vehicles from this era, which is not a cause for concern. INTERIOR: The seats have been fully reupholstered and are like new, while the door panels retain their original upholstery, which shows wear commensurate with its age. The wood trim and related fittings are in generally good condition, with virtually no cracks or damage. DOCUMENTATION: A detailed invoice for €7,000 is attached, corresponding to the recent automatic transmission repair. PICKUP: The car is located in Madrid, Spain. Once the vehicle is awarded, up to 20 days of storage are offered at no additional cost. OTHER INFORMATION: Due to its recent history and excellent value for money, it represents a very profitable investment for professionals in the classic car rental or events services sector.
