Belgium - Military medal - Commander of the Order of the Crown (Belgium)

The Commander is the third class within the order. The insignia is characterized by the large size of the cross and is specifically designed to be worn on a neck ribbon (cravate). The wide burgundy moiré fabric loop/ribbon with the gold-colored suspension is typical of this neck decoration. • The design: It consists of a white enamelled Maltese cross with gilded rays between the arms. In the blue enamelled central medallion there is a golden royal crown. Above the cross sits a green enamelled laurel wreath that serves as the suspension.
