Beaulieu 1018 S X8 – Super 8 Sound – Zoom Macro 7.5–60mm f/1.8 – Werkend – ca

Vintage Beaulieu 1018 S X8 Super 8 sound film camera, produced in Japan and dating from around 1979. Equipped with the original Beaulieu Zoom Macro 1:1.8 / 7.5–60 mm, a bright 8× zoom lens with macro function. The camera features a reflex viewfinder, automatic and manual exposure control, and electric zoom with two speeds. The available film speeds are 9, 18, 24 and 36 frames per second, plus single frame. Also fade-in/fade-out and provisions for sound recording are present. The camera has been tested with batteries and is in working order. The motor/drive and the available electrical functions respond during the test. The camera has not been tested with developed Super 8 film; therefore the final recording, exposure, and sound quality cannot be guaranteed. The camera is in used vintage condition with visible signs of use and age. Especially on the side there is clear cosmetic wear, including remnants/wear where a sticker or label presumably stood. See the photos for the exact condition. Included are the original removable battery holder for 6× AA batteries, Beaulieu lens cap and strap, as shown. The batteries themselves are not included. The 1018 S X8 can also be powered via an external 9V connection. For shipping, the camera will be carefully cleaned, including the accessible glass and lens elements. An interesting Beaulieu Super 8 camera with extensive adjustment options and a large 8× zoom range.
