Her work has also been highlighted on British television Channel 4, in the program “Huge Homes with Hugh Dennis.” Her work engages with a search around image, collective memory and the traces left by time. Drawing inspiration from 20th-century images, Bazévian explores their transformation, alteration and reinterpretation through a personal pictorial language. Between collective memory and personal history, her work evokes oxidized, erased or transformed images over time. The gaze becomes presence, the texture becomes light and each image reactivated by imagination gradually becomes a new memory. Bazévian thus develops a singular and sensitive universe, at the boundary between figuration and abstraction, where fragments of the past become the starting point for a contemporary and personal work.
