His work has also been highlighted on British television Channel 4, in the show “Huge Homes with Hugh Dennis.” His work is part of research into image, collective memory and the traces left by time. Drawing inspiration from 20th-century images, Bazévian explores their transformation, alteration and reinterpretation through a personal pictorial language. Between collective memory and personal history, his work evokes oxidized, erased or time-transformed images. The gaze becomes presence, texture becomes light, and every image reactivated by the imagination gradually becomes a new memory. Bazévian thus develops a singular and sensitive universe, at the border between figuration and abstraction, where fragments of the past become the starting point for a contemporary and personal work.
