Baume & Mercier – Vintage Ladies Mechanical Watch – Sterling Silver 925 – 1980s–1990s A refined vintage Baume & Mercier Genève ladies’ watch, distinguished by its elegant oval case crafted in 925 sterling silver, classical Roman numeral dial and traditional Swiss mechanical movement. The watch has a graceful, jewellery-inspired design, with an elongated oval case measuring approximately 21 × 25 mm. The white dial is beautifully balanced, featuring bold black Roman numerals, a fine minute track and elegant black hands. The crown is finished with a dark cabochon-style detail, adding a sophisticated accent to the silver case. Powered by a Swiss hand-wound mechanical movement, this is a charming example of Baume & Mercier’s classical approach to elegant ladies’ timepieces. Story & Heritage Founded in 1830, Baume & Mercier belongs to the historic tradition of Swiss watchmaking and has long been associated with refined, classically styled timepieces. This particular watch reflects an elegant approach to ladies’ watchmaking in which the boundary between fine jewellery and mechanical horology becomes deliberately subtle. Its compact oval proportions, sterling silver case, Roman numeral dial and cabochon-style crown create a timeless aesthetic inspired by traditional European elegance. Unlike many small ladies’ watches powered by quartz movements, this example retains the charm and interaction of a traditional hand-wound Swiss mechanical movement. Combined with its 925 silver case, this makes it an appealing vintage piece for collectors who appreciate discreet proportions, precious materials and classical mechanical watchmaking. A sophisticated vintage Baume & Mercier with an unmistakably elegant character and a design that remains timeless decades after its creation. Internal Reference Number - SOA-30
