Watch a video of this specimen by following the Vimeo link below: https://vimeo.com/1159841264/89a2fbe0d0 Beautiful, very lustrous botryoidal concretion of pyrite decorated with baryte! This small-cabinet stalactite combines baryte and pyrite from Les Vieux Travaux, part of the historic Les Malines mine near Saint-Laurent-le-Minier — the largest lead-zinc deposit ever worked in France, mined industrially from 1883 until 1991 and credited with almost a million tonnes of zinc, lead and silver over that run.
