Descriptio Walnut and metal fittings. Dimensions: Headboard 52 x 93 x 40 cm; Overall: 129 x 93 x 52 cm. A bargueño (a type of writing desk) with an architectural front, a hinged lid, and an interior organized with numerous drawers and small doors, designed for writing and document storage. The geometric arrangement of the piece and the understated moldings reflect a functional tradition of great compositional clarity. Its structure, raised on a turned base, and the wealth of interior compartments place it firmly within the tradition of 18th-century Spanish furniture.
