B. H. Slotman (1936) - Hollands landschap

B.H. Slotman B.H. Slotman, born as Jack J. van der Put in 1939 in Rotterdam, is a Dutch painter known for his landscapes, still lifes, and beach scenes. His father, a successful chef and also an amateur painter, possibly sparked his interest in art. After moving to Hilversum, Slotman studied with the renowned Dutch painter J.F.C. Scherrewitz (1868-1951). He also received advice from Hans van Moerkerken, a painter from Weesp. Slotman was strongly inspired by the French Impressionists, which is evident in his balanced colors and carefully chosen compositions. He mainly painted landscapes, still lifes, beach scenes, and modern compositions in sparkling luminist colors. His paintings are characterized by an Impressionist style with a focus on light and color Canvas size 50 - 40 cm Incl. frame. 62 - 52 cm
