Azienda Macabo - Cusano Milanino - Aldo Tura - Ice bucket...

MACABÒ – Elegant vintage insulated ice bucket in silvered metal, with mechanical opening and refined antique patina – Italy, around the 1960s Manifattura Macabò, Cusano Milanino (Milan), Italy. Era: around the 1960s, stylistic attribution. Designer: production sometimes associated with Aldo Tura; attribution not documented for this specific model. Refined and scenographic vintage insulated ice bucket, made by the Italian manufacture Macabò, specialized in elegant table and bar accessories. A object of great charm, expression of Italian taste of the second half of the twentieth century, in which constructive quality, functionality and aesthetic refinement merge into an original and timeless design. The ice bucket features a cylindrical body with soft and harmonious lines, supported by a domed circular base that elegantly elongates its silhouette. The external surface, in silvered metal, is characterized by a suggestive burnished patina, developed over the decades, with anthracite-gray shades and silvery reflections that give the object a particular visual depth. This natural oxidation of the silvering, far from compromising its charm, underscores its authentically vintage character, creating a refined contrast between the darker areas of the body and the more luminous metallic details. A finish that recalls the elegance of antique silver and that is particularly appreciated in a retro, mid-century modern, or collectible interior. Particularly interesting is the lid opening system, one of the object's distinctive elements. The wide arch handle, with essential and geometric shapes, integrates an original central shaped control connected to the lid by a curved rod. The mechanism allows lifting the hinged lid, combining practicality and design sophistication. The lid, slightly convex and adorned with a thin perimetral moulding, completes the composition with an elegant and well-proportioned profile. The interior presents a shiny surface with warm coppery and amber tones, in pleasant contrast with the silver exterior, while the inner part of the lid shows a reflective metallic finish. The base bears the original MACABO mark, accompanied by the indication of Italian origin, confirming the authenticity of the manufacture. The object fits into the tradition of high-end cocktail and bar accessories produced in Italy during the economic boom years, when the ritual of the aperitif and domestic hospitality fostered the diffusion of functional yet highly decorative complements. The object is presented in vintage condition, with evident and widespread signs of time and use. The silvering shows marked natural oxidation, chromatic irregularities, small surface marks and a dark patina particularly decorative. These characteristics are clearly visible in photographs and contribute to the authentic look of the piece. Some scratches present. An enchanting example of Italian modern design, ideal to embellish a vintage bar cabinet, a Mid-Century Modern setting, or a collection of refined cocktail accessories from the twentieth century. An object that preserves the authentic charm of the era, enhanced by its particular construction and the splendid patina of the silvering. The AI-generated photos are intended to give the buyer an idea of how the piece decorates in an auction setting. Professional shipping
