Simca Aronde Plein Ciel 1957 - Handcrafted/manual produced by manufacturer "Facel". Simca moved toward independence in 1951. They presented their first own development, the Type 9 Aronde. In the meantime, work was underway on the successor Aronde (90A) for 1955. With great success! Soon the half-millionth production model was reached. In October 1956 Simca launched two exclusive spin-offs named 'Océane' and 'Océane'. Both models were offered as "Plein ciel", the hardtop/coupé, and as a cabriolet. These sporty variants attracted a small group of fans. Simca could not produce them themselves, being too small-scale, and commissioned the manufacturer "Facel" to produce them. This was done by hand! This exclusive production also carried an exclusive price tag, of course. In six years a total of 6,000 units were made.
