AUREL - The Boy Who Sat with the Lion

AUREL - Afternoon on Still Blue Water - Mixed media on canvas Mixed techniques, acrylic painting · digital painting · Hand-signed · 2026 Between trunks of bright colors, a young man with wide-open eyes sits on the ground. At his side, a motionless lion gazes at him without menace. The setting is a forest in bands of red, pink, blue and green, like a theater curtain. Who protects whom? The lion seems to guard the scene, but the boy does not flee. The painting leaves open the question of friendship, fear and trust. A soft and strange image, which takes a calm look at what could be dangerous. Mixed technique: acrylic paint on pigment ink print, matte varnish. Varnish applied by hand, for the depth of colors and lasting protection of the work. Support: premium stretched canvas on wooden frame, ready to hang. Format: to be specified. Signed AUREL · Galerie Labo Joconde / Atelier Joconde · certificate of authenticity provided. AUREL is one of the creations bringing together the artists Le Yack, Neo Pablo and Popsan within Atelier Joconde, a family studio where three sensibilities coexist: neo-realism, pop and free figuration. AUREL is one of the signatures of Atelier Joconde, where three sensibilities of the studio intersect. Under this name, the Atelier paints suspended moments, a painting of light and silence. Each work is a unique piece. Instagram @atelierjoconde.
