Atala - Bicycle - Before 2000

Atala Vintage - Pink Campagnolo Era Racing Bicycle (Rosa) GENERAL DESCRIPTION In the auction, a splendid and iconic vintage racing bicycle by Atala, a true classic of Italian historical cycling. The steel frame retains its characteristic and fascinating metallic pink/purple paint of the era, enriched by red-highlighted joints and by the original Atala decals and logos on the tubes. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND VISIBLE COMPONENTS The bicycle is equipped with a prestigious vintage Campagnolo mechanical group. The transmission includes a Campagnolo rear derailleur, Campagnolo front derailleur, Campagnolo downtube shifting levers paired with a Nervar double-chainring crankset, and classic pedals with toe clips and leather straps. The braking system consists of vintage brake calipers and handlebars brake levers with brown covers. The cockpit features a handlebars inlet made of aluminum with a racing bend and red tape matched to the brake cable housings. The saddle is a classic black leather model. The wheels are vintage with aluminum rims paired with racing tubular tires. CONDITION AND AESTHETIC STATE The bicycle is in good original vintage-preservation condition, preserving a beautiful patina of the era. The steel frame is solid and free of cracks or structural damage. The metallic pink paint shows normal and light signs of aging and use, such as small superficial scratches and blooming visible on the stays and the top tube. The rubber coverings of the brake levers and the tubular tires show signs of time, so a service or replacement is recommended before any road use. Mechanically complete and well preserved. SHIPPING AND PACKING NOTES The lot will be packed with extreme care and shipped via courier with tracking and insurance. Note that, to ensure safer shipment and reduce package volume, parts of the bicycle will very likely be removed for transport, such as: pedals, saddle, wheels, and the handlebar stem turned/adjusted.
